Cynthia Decoteau
Cynthia has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 35 years. In her earlier years she discovered that she had a passion for food and wine and as her interest grew she decided to gain a formal education by aquiring her International Sommelier Guild Certification and her Red Seal in the culinary program at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. She has worked at the world renowned Relais et Chateau Langdon Hall where she trained under Master Sommelier Marc Bouvier. She has owned and operated 3 fine dining bistros, and in 2001, Cynthia relocated to British Columbia to better her understanding of Wine and to work directly with the vineyards. She has worked and assisted in all processes at such wineries like the beautiful Poplar Grove, Nkmip in Oliver, and Burrowing Owl Winery in Oliver. Cynthia has been determined to help put Canadian Wines on the map.
